Apple may introduce a 17-inch MacBook Pro at the giant National Association of Broadcasters event, which begins April 22.
AppleInsider claims to have learned of the plans.
These new flagship notebooks will reportedly be faster than those available now and host larger hard drives.
The fate of the 12-inch PowerBook isn't yet known, the report states, speculating that new model iBooks will fill that market gap. These may not now ship until next month, it adds.
The report also claims that NAB attendees may be offered demonstrations of a forthcoming new version of Final Cut Studio 6.0.
This is expected to integrate several improvements for high-definition video, including support for Blu-ray and HD-DVD.
