Apple will unveil its strategic direction for digital-video production technologies next month at giant industry trade show, the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), MacCentral reports.
The company has issued invitations to journalists to attend a press event, during which it will reveal its strategy.
Video has become an "inflection point" for Apple since its release of the high-end Final Cut Pro, since which time Apple has introduced video solutions for the consumer (iMovie) and pro-sumer (Final Cut Express).
Apple also ships iDVD, DVD Studio Pro, Cinema Tools and high-end compositing environment, Shake.
In recent years, Apple has chosen NAB as a forum for unveiling Final Cut Pro, QuickTime and high-profile acquisitions and partnership announcements.
