Napster will open new London offices this month and has appointed a new business development director, Darren Wallace.
The company's plush new UK HQ will be at 57-61 Mortimer Street. Wallace will be responsible for "forging new business relationships and overseeing the rollout of existing partnership programmes with the Dixons Group and NTL," the company said. Existing executive staff remain in post.
"London is the international headquarters of all the major record companies and music publishers as well as independent labels body AIM, so it's extremely important for Napster UK to be centrally located," said Leanne Sharman, Napster vice-president and UK general manager.
"Wallace brings a wealth of industry-specific experience and proven business development expertise to our UK team and his appointment underlines Napster's continued commitment to building and developing strong partnerships with consumer brands. We are now looking at a further account director hire with below-the-line experience to manage existing and future relationships."
