Netscape’s free Internet service provider (ISP), Netscape Online - announced yesterday - will not support the Macintosh platform.
A Netscape spokesman told Macworld: "There are no plans to develop a Mac version at the moment."
He also revealed that the service "is aimed at young, trendy, 18-30 year olds". Access software can be downloaded from Netscape’s Web site, or picked up from any of the UK’s 800 Woolworth stores.
Netscape Online offers a wide suite of services, 20MB of Web space and use of AOL's proprietary Instant Messenger software.
