Former Mac-upgrades developer, Newer Technology, has posted details about its bankruptcy hearing.

The hearing is scheduled for 5 February and creditors have until May 7 to file claims against the company, which ceased operations in December 2000.

Newer's staff were sent a letter over Christmas saying their services were no longer required.

Newer's association with the Macintosh market dates back to 1984, when Apple first launched the Macintosh. The company produced memory cards and peripherals for the Mac, but its focus changed to processor upgrades in the 1990s.
