Leading Internet search engine and portal, Yahoo is being sued for as much as $4 billion by Universal Image, reports Bloomberg News.
Universal Image claims that Yahoo has violated an agreement to provide information about users of its video and audio resources. Univesal Image conducts business as chalkboardtalk.com - it makes educational videos. Its video are used by Yahoo on its Broadcast.com satellite company - the agreement to use Universal's video footage depends upon Yahoo providing information about its registered users, including name, age and other personal data.
Broadcast.com stopped sharing such information after Yahoo bought the company, the suit alleges. Universal has built a database of information about 750,000 users through broadcast.com, and wants compensation potential business from Yahoo.
