Palm has cut the price of its brand of handheld computers.

The companyreduced prices for its pro and consumer lines, including Tungsten T, m515 and m130 devices.

Announcing the new prices, Palm said: "This underpins Palm's mission to extend the appeal of handheld devices to new groups of customers, a strategy the company believes is crucial to the future growth of the handheld sector."

For professional users, Palms Tungsten T now costs £299, from its £399 price on launch. For consumers, Palm's m515 has a new estimated retail price of between £199-£229. It cost £369 on launch. The m130 model's new rrp is £129-£149; this device cost £229 on release last year.
