Apple is offering two new support sites for Panther and iTunes users.
The Mac OS X Panther Support Site features Q&As, hints and tips, discussions, and downloads. It also offers advice about upgrading to Panther, an OS X-specific search facility, the top five Panther topics, a link to a resource page that features books and training, and the Panther tip of the week.
Two iTunes Support Sites are available – one for OS X and the other for Windows users. Both sites include tips and tricks, and tutorials. Topics such as importing music, burning CDs, buying music, transferring music, using playlists and sharing music are covered.
Although much of the site is focused on the US-only music-purchasing function, subjects such as playlists, third-party music players, and AAC file support are discussed.
Apple has also posted a Final Cut Pro QT Render Plug-in for OS X. This is to resolve a problem in Final Cut Pro 4, in which it stopped responding when rendering non-DV clips with QuickTime 6.4.
Apple strongly recommends all Final Cut Pro 4 users download the plug-in, which is available here.
