Photokina saw Canon launch a new range of image storage devices for professional photographers, the Canon Media Storage M30 and M80s.
These gadgets feature 3.7-inch TFT screens that support a 160-degree viewing angle. They hold 30GB or 80GB hard drives and connect to the camera using USB 2.0. Both devices also host slots for CF and SD cards.
These devices have been developed for photographers working away from their computer who seek a solution that lets them look at and store their images wherever they happen to be. They can also store and playback audio files and are equipped with a line out jack.
To prevent unauthorised access, images and other files can be protected with an up to 8 digit password.
Price and shipment date of the new devices hasn't yet been confirmed.
