Adobe's imaging boss Bryan Lamkin will give the public its first glimpse of "new Photoshop technology" at the PhotoshopWorld Conference, it has been confirmed.
The news follows reports yesterday that Adobe plans to release Photoshop 8.0 before Christmas.
Lamkin, senior VP of digital imaging and technology, will give the keynote on September 30, the first day of the event. He promises "a first look at new Photoshop technology", according to the US National Association of Photoshop Professionals.
Sponsored by Adobe, Photoshop World offers 60 educational sessions. A series of new-product releases are also scheduled for announcement.
Conference technical chairman Scott Kelby said: "We're very excited about this particular PhotoshopWorld, not only because we're providing more training than ever before, but also because this year's events are going to really impact the creative industry.
"We are unable to release specific details at this point, but anyone who attends the Miami conference will be exposed to brand-new, cutting-edge technology from several major companies."
The event takes place at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, Florida between September 30 and October 2. Full information is available online.
Apple will also exhibit at the show.
