Macromedia has appointed former-Pixar executive Lawrence Levy as president and CEO of, Macromedia's Internet entertainment site.

Levy joins the company on Monday, June 19.

Levy, 41, was executive vice president and chief financial officer at Pixar Animation Studios – owned by Apple's CEO Steve Jobs – where he ran business operations and oversaw the company's IPO in 1995.
