The 3D-technology show Imagina 2002 opens from February 12-14 at the Grimandi Forum, Monte Carlo.

A key exhibitor will be Pixar Animation Studios, the company run by Apple CEO Steve Jobs. Pixar supervising technical director Thomas Porter will give a seminar on visual effects. The company's most-recent offering is Monsters Inc, which is up for an Oscar.

Other exhibitors include the World Wide Web Consortium, which will demonstrate XML technologies, and NewTek, which will exhibit LightWave 3D, its software solution for 3D graphics and animation.

RealViz Stitcher software will also be demonstrated. The software builds panoramas for the Web, film, print, and 3D.
