PopChar X 1.0 for Mac OS X is available now from ergonis software.
The developer claims that its product is as easy-to-use as ever. “Just click in the small ‘P’ box in the corner of the screen to find and insert characters without remembering the keyboard combinations.”
PopChar author, professor Günther Blaschek of the Johannes Kepler University of Linz, said: “We managed to make access to the PopChar features easier than ever. It’s always just a mouse-click away when you need a special character. Font selection; ‘hot spot’ in the Menu bar; HTML codes – it’s all there, and now with a fresh new Aqua look under Mac OS X.”
The wait is over Christoph Reichenberger, founder and CEO of ergonis software, said: “During the last months, we have received so many enquiries from customers, many of them even telling us that they would postpone their migration to Mac OS X until PopChar Pro for OS X would be available. I am proud and satisfied to announce that the wait is over. PopChar X is available today.”
The company has also announced version 1.5 of PopChar Pro for earlier OSs. This version requires a new licence key, though this licence also covers PopChar X 1.0. The upgrade is free for customers who purchased PopChar Pro in 2002. Licenses cost $29, and volume-licensing discounts are available.
