Digidesign is marking February's release of Pro Tools 6.0 for Mac OS X with a series of events across the UK.
The company is running a series of free one-day educational events held at key dealers across England and Scotland. The events will guide users through how to use Pro Tools 6.0 and the Pro Tools|HD digital-audio workstation.
Attendees will learn more about each step in the process, from beginning work on a track, to laying down the final mix.
Digidesign representatives will demonstrate the application's Mac OS X 10.2.3 support, and the performance enhancements seen when using the application on Apple's dual-processor Power Macs. They will also guide attendees through Pro Tool's improved file-management, MIDI and Beat Detective features.
They will demonstrate the application's session import features, and show off its new mixing and control options. Demos will also offer tips and tricks within real-world scenarios.
Pre-registration is required to attend the events. Eight dates are scheduled across England and Scotland starting February 19.
Pro Tools 6.0 for TDM costs £145, while Pro Tools LE costs £55. All prices exclude VAT.
