Prosoft Engineering has updated its hard drive utility Drive Genius with support for Intel-based Macs.
"We're excited to provide this new version of Drive Genius that is now Universal binary that will maintain, manage, and optimise your PowerPC-based Macs and the most recently released Intel-based Macs," says Greg Brewer, president and CEO of the company.
Drive Genius offers many tools, including: a drive optimiser, a repair facility for analysing, repairing and rebuilding volumes; and testing capabilities, with media surface scanning, performance benchmarking and data integrity checking. It can be used to initialise drives, create and delete partitions, and securely erase drive data.
Current owners of Drive Genius ($99) can purchase the update for $10.
