RealNetworks has announced 13 new versions of its RealPlayer software for Mac OS X, Linux, Europe and Asia.

Alongside four new language versions of the software for Mac OS X, the company has released RealPlayer 10 for Linux in nine new European and Asian languages.

Real also announced that Red Flag Software, a leading desktop Linux provider in Asia, has licensed RealPlayer 10 for distribution with its Linux desktop. RealPlayer for Linux was developed in the Helix Community through the joint efforts of RealNetworks and more than 100 external software contributors.

RealNetworks today also announced the immediate availability of the free version of RealPlayer 10 for Mac OS X in four additional versions: French, German, Japanese and Spanish.

RealPlayer 10 for Linux is immediately available in the following languages and corresponding markets: English (North America and UK), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish as well as Chinese (Simplified and Traditional). The final version of RealPlayer 10 for Linux is available for immediate free download in Europe, Asia Pacific, as well as North America.
