Rogue Amoeba has announced its latest Mac product, a sound editor called Fission.
The software is a tool for editing compressed MP3, AAC, Apple Lossless and AIFF audio files (mono and stereo).
It lets users strip unwanted clips from audio files, fade the sound in and out and also lets them split a single file into multiple files with no loss in audio quality. You can use Fission to create MP3 ringtones from existing sound collections.
Rogue Amoeba creates a wide range of handy tools and utlilities for Macs, including Audio Hijack and Audio Hijack Pro, Airfoil and Nicecast.
A trial version of the $32 software is available now from the company. Registered owners of Audio Hijack Pro qualify for a $14 discount on Fission.
