Apple's road-map for the Apple TV may include high definition video downloads through iTunes, today's rumour claims.

It seems Apple is preparing to improve the resolution of a selection of the film and TV shows it sells through the service. It is also claimed the company is stocking up on its supplies of Apple TV units in anticipation of increased demand for that product when it becomes a digital HD TV hub.

MacOS Rumors claims to know of a future improvement to the Apple TV, and says the Mac-mini range is on its way out in favour of a small Mac that will cost as little as $249.
