Safari use climbed significantly in August, claims internet monitoring company, Net Applications.
While the browser remains a relative minnow in contrast to Internet Explorer's 83.02 per cent stranglehold of the internet, Safari's market share has reached 3.21 per cent of the online world (as of August 2006).
Safari held 2.2 per cent of the browser market in September 2005. It's now the world's third most-used browser.
Firefox holds 11.84 per cent of the market, the figures reveal.
