Salling Software has announced Salling Clicker 3.0, its new version remote control software tool.
This iteration of the award-winning product introduces new features and adds support for many new mobile phones and other handheld devices.
Jonas Salling, owner and president, said: "I believe Salling Clicker is the finest remote control tool around, and it is a great pleasure to be able to offer it to more customers than ever, thanks to our brand new support for devices with Java and Windows Mobile.”
All about control
The software lets users employ a range of devices, including Bluetooth and WiFi-enabled phones, as remote controls.
Users can control PowerPoint and Keynote presentations, iTunes, EyeTV and more common applications.
Salling Clicker 3.0 now supports WiFi. This means the Mac version of the software can control all the Macs on the network, which Salling believes will be: “A big hit with customers looking to control music streaming from a music server.”
Seeing is believing
The software also provides access to slide notes and album artwork display, alongside search features to find music. It costs $23.95 per user licence.
Windows and Mac licences are sold separately. Upgrades from previous Mac versions are free.
Salling Clicker is compatible with many mobile phones, handheld computers, and requires WiFi or Bluetooth connectivity hardware (Widcomm's and Microsoft's SP2 Bluetooth stacks are supported on Windows). Mac OS X 10.3.9 and Windows XP SP1 or greater are supported.
