Apple has released its second security update for Mac OS X 10.3 Panther.
Security Update 2003-11-04 addresses a potential vulnerability with OS X’s Terminal application. Apple's accompanying notes say: "It addresses a potential vulnerability with Terminal in OS X v10.3 and OS X Server v10.3 that could allow unauthorized access to a system."
The update is available via the OS X’s Software Update preference pane.
Apple has also released an update to Xcode, its set of OS X developer tools. Version 1.0.1 addresses an issue in the Xcode IDE that could lead to data corruption or the loss of files.
Apple strongly recommendeds all Xcode users to install the update. Xcode 1.0.1 is available via the Mac OS X Software Update preference pane.
Apple has confirmed that it will address security flaws identified in Mac OS X 10.3 Jaguar.
