Apple has launched new iPods, iPod nanos, a new version of iTunes, and introduced movie download services in the US.

The company has also launched what it claims to be the world's smallest-ever music player, the tiny iPod shuffle 2, now only available as a 1GB model.

The company said it intends introducing movie downloads internationally in 2007.

Apple's iTunes software has also been upgraded to version 7, ushering in much-requested features, such as gapless playback, better iPod management, and more.

The company also revealed a device to bridge the gap between iTunes, iPods and the television set.
