Soft-Net has released MacPopUp 2.1, the latest version of its Instant messaging solution.
The program does not require a message server, and works over local area networks (LANs). It can accommodate multiple platform environments (Mac, Windows, Linux and Unix operating systems) as it makes use of TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol).
The interface has been overhauled, making it simpler, slicker and more intuitive than previous versions of the application.
New features also include guaranteed message-delivery, a function that automatically resends messages when the user is offline, and the facility to save received messages to disk.
A fully functional demo is available from Soft-Net.
