Softpress has released version 4.2 of Freeway Pro and Freeway Express, a Universal binary for both Intel and PowerPC Macs. The update includes easy-to-use ecommerce solution, the Freeway Shop.

Freeway 4.2 also introduced a suite of Actions, pre-built application commands to perform such functions as creating catalogue pages, shopping carts and connecting to a choice of payment authorization schemes, (functionality for which is provided by Mal's E-Commerce.
The update also ushers in a work-around for designers affected by the Eolas patent win over multimedia links within Web pages, speed enhancements and a new Save as Template feature.
The update is available for and recommended to all registered users.
A fully working 30-day trial version of the application, including Freeway shop, is available from the company. Freeway Express costs $99, while the Pro version costs $279.
