A third series of free MacFest roadshows are set to take place in Cambridge, Manchester and London.

MacFest showcases the latest products and technologies from leading manufacturers, software publishers and Mac service-providers.

A prize draw will take place at the London event, where one pre-registered visitor will receive a new flat-panel iMac and £500 of free software, courtesy of sponsors Macworld, Mac reseller Cancom, and Mac ISP MacUnlimited. A free copy of Simply Mac OS X book will be distributed to each pre-registered visitor.

The MacFest dates for 2002 will be April 26, Crown Plaza Hotel, Cambridge; April 30, Renaissance Hotel, Manchester, May 2, Novotel, Hammersmith, London.

Show focus This year's Mac roadshow will focus on video, Web design and audio technology. There will be seminars on 3D rendering, professional video editing, music and audio production, website software development and an Apple software overview.

Farhad Alaaldin, executive director of MacUnlimited said: "We were delighted with the response to previous MacFests.

"The UK Mac industry closed last year on a high note, and this year's first regional MacFest roadshows will keep the momentum going.

"There will be a showcase for the very latest products at regional centres around the country."
