Apple CEO Steve Jobs is slowly picking up the reins at the company once again.

Jobs, 49, underwent life-saving cancer surgery in late July, taking August off to recuperate. CNet reports he has returned in order to attend some company meetings, with the intention of returning to full-time work later this month, as had been promised.

In Jobs' absence, Apple has been managed on a day-to-day basis by executive vice president of operations, Tim Cook.
