Apple CEO Steve Jobs is slowly picking up the reins at the company once again.

Jobs, 49, underwent life-saving cancer surgery in late July, taking August off to recuperate. CNet News.com reports he has returned in order to attend some company meetings, with the intention of returning to full-time work later this month, as had been promised.

In Jobs' absence, Apple has been managed on a day-to-day basis by executive vice president of operations, Tim Cook.
