GHC gain Apple Centre status
Gordon Harwood Computers (GHC) has achieved Apple Centre status after meeting Apple's rigorous authorization criteria.
Director Anne Harwood said: "Becoming an Apple Centre will help us serve those in the Midlands area who would like to take a closer look at Apple's range. We will offer specialist advice and the full range of software and hardware, and help confirm the benefits of using Macintosh."
The Derbyshire based firm has been supplying, supporting and servicing computer systems, including Macs, since 1982.
As previously reported, London-based Apple reseller Trams PLC has new owners following a management buy-out.
Warren Peel and Alex Page, who had been senior managers there, have acquired the company from founders Wendy Howland Jackson and Hugo Kirby. They now own 100 per cent of the company, which will continue to trade under the Trams name.
Howland Jackson and Kirby said: "We are confident that Peel and Page will continue the established success and growth."
Peel said: "We are delighted to have completed this acquisition, which will allow us to focus on the business and drive it forward."
