If Web search terms are a measure of success, then Apple has another hit on its hands with the iPod nano.

Hitwise Search Intelligence reports that UK Web surfers are in a search frenzy for news on the product.

Searchers for the product have climbed 200 per cent since it launched, overtaking searches made for 'iPod' and catching up with the number of searches made for Sony's PSP.

Traffic to Apple's UK website climbed 46 per cent between September 1 and September 7, the report adds.
