Destineer's MacSoft has released a free beta version of its forthcoming Unreal Tournament 2003 title.
This game was first shown to Mac gamers at Macworld Expo San Francisco in January, and is the sequel to Unreal Tournament, which won multiple awards upon its release in 1999. This version uses the latest Unreal gaming engine to place players in a merciless fighting arena, fighting for glory.
With six races, 50 characters and 30 maps, the beta version features include more-detailed graphics, and a highly advanced physics engine. The game also features improved game types and weaponry, as well as special moves.
The beta features four maps, and requires a 700MHz processor, 32MB video card, 256MB RAM and Mac OS X 10.2.6.
