US reports claim some iPod buyers have been had - finding tin cans and batteries inside the sealed boxes containing their newly-acquired music player.
ABC News reports two cases in which consumers didn't get what they expected in the box. In one case a woman and son opened an iPod on Christmas morning to find "a sealed meat or fish product". Another found six AA batteries taped together.
Both iPods were purchased from US retail giant, Wal-Mart. The store said it would provide free replacements.
