Iomega is shipping the Mini USB 2.0 Drive, its car key-sized Flash storage device.
The product is now available in the UK in the following capacities: 64MB (£59.99), 128MB (£79.90) and 256MB (£129.90). All prices include VAT. The devices can be password-protected to keep data secure, and they weigh just 20 grams.
Iomega Europe's vice president and managing director Ulrike Tegtmeier said: "The security and simplicity of the Mini USB Drive is going to be a real plus for mobile users everywhere."
The product is backward-compatible with USB 1.1 as employed on current Macs. It uses no batteries or leads and plugs into the USB port. It is automatically recognized as an external drive on Mac OS 9.x, OS X and a variety of Windows systems. Some older operating systems may require that drivers be installed.
