The UK's VideoForum event begins February 11, and Macworld's sister magazine Digit is hosting a series of masterclasses there.
The first morning's masterclass will feature Catalyst Pictures MD and Flash expert Nick Lever. He will present a half day session looking at 3D effects and animation in the form or a project case study.
Lever will begin with a sketch, working through the intricacies and problems encountered in trying to bring a 3D character to life, including animating hands and the ten steps to create a good walk. He will use LightWave and Avid XPress, outputting the result to DigiBeta and MPEG.
During the afternoon masterclass Lever will look at creating online games, focusing on a project he ran for Kelloggs called Street Dive.
Each masterclass costs £49.99 (ex-VAT). Further information is available online.
