With almost a quarter of the world already enjoying Mac OS X Tiger and the Widgets that come with Dashboard, Apple has made an assortment of third-party Widgets available for download from its Web site.

Apple is highlighting the Delicious Library Mini Shelf, a 11MB digital cataloguing application for books, movies, music and video games.

Mini Shelf is an extension of Delicious Library, a digital cataloguing application for books, movies, music and video game, and via the Mini Shelf Widget it is possible to search and find an item and view the details associated with it. The Mini Shelf is currently beta only.

Other Widgets available include the JiWire WiFi Hotspot Finder, a 128K widget for finding public WiFi networks around the world, and Transmit Widget, a 781K widget for uploading items to an FTP server.

Currently Apple's most downloaded widget is Send SMS. Send SMS is a 350K download that will send an SMS for 10cents, even to a foreign country.

Apple will also offer .Mac customers exclusive access to Tiger widgets.
