Apple's US online store went offline, while company CEO Steve Jobs delivered his WWDC keynote speech - but only for a face-lift.
The company has abandoned its previous page layout in order to loosen up its product categories. While the store window was previously based on the company's four core Mac products - MacBook, MacBook Pro, Mac Pro and iMac, along with the Mac mini, the store now offers more space to insert new devices, as and when they debut.
The new look is resonant with the company's recently updated software downloads area, and reflects the company's commitment to a unified interface across all its applications and services.
The top of the page now urges US students to take advantage of the company's latest promo offer, in which students can buy a Mac and get a free iPod nano.
