iPhone developer Agant has updated National Rail Enquiries for iPhone, adding multitasking compatibility found in Apple's new iOS 4 Software Update.
Due to be released later today, Apple's iOS 4 promises over 100 new features including support for multitasking, creating folders, iBooks, an improved Mail and wireless keyboard support.
National Rail Enquiries now supports multitasking for quick app switching, which requires an iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 or recent iPod touch running iOS 4. This means when you leave the app to check email or send a text message, you return to the same spot when you reopen the app, particularly useful when you are in the process of planning a journey.
National Rail Enquiries for iPhone lets users:
Plan journeys across the National Rail network.
Get up to the minute details about delays and cancellations.
Add you favourite stations.
View live departures and arrivals at all National Rail stations, live train progress with platform information - where available.
Quickly find your nearest station, see directions on the iPhone maps.
The National Rail Enquiries 1.4.1 software update also adds high-definition icons and images to make the most from the iPhone 4 improved display.
Available from the Apple iTunes App Store, National Rail Enquiries costs £4.99 and requires the iPhone 3.0 Software Update or later. National Rail Enquiries won Mobile Product of the Year - UK IT Awards 2009.
