New iMac release date
The latest reports suggest that the new iMac will be launched on 10 September at a special Apple event, which is also expected to see the launch of two new iPhone models, the new Mac Pro and also possibly new Haswell-based MacBook Pro models.
Earlier this year, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggested that the new iMacs may be ready to launch in August, but Apple could decide to delay the launch for a few weeks in an attempt to prevent the same shortages experienced following the launch of last year's model.
New iMac rumours
We don't expect the new iMac to have a new design, as the iMac launched last year launched with a design that was significantly slimmer than the previous models.
However, on the inside, it's expected that the new iMac will feature Intel's fourth generation Haswell processors. The current iMacs feature Intel's older Ivy Bridge processors.
We’ll keep you posted about developments as they happen, so stay tuned to this story for the latest updates.
