The battery on my electric toothbrush (first-generation Philips Sonicare) has finally given up the ghost after exactly four minutes use per day for two and a half years.

I searched for a class-action suit and user websites all demanding that Philips issue new toothbrushes and offer replacement batteries free of charge, but to no avail.

It's also got some scratches on it (from me removing toothpaste from its case), and again no lawyers beating at the company's door.

What is the world coming to?
