THE SALVATION ARMY PRODUCES LOW-COST INTERACTIVE RESOURCES WITH QUARKXPRESS
The Schools and College Unit within the Salvation Army UK and Ireland designed the ‘Ultimate Church Visit’ resources with Flash in QuarkXPress 8
London, 3rd November 2010— The Schools and Colleges Unit within The Salvation Army provided 140 churches in the UK and Ireland with their “Ultimate Church Visit” resource package for schools visiting a Salvation Army place of worship. The resources consist of an interactive CD ROM, as well as information and activity cards, teaching outlines and display material, and were all created in-house with QuarkXPress® 8.
“The Ultimate Church Visit resource package looks amazing and everyone is thrilled with the results. We saved a significant amount of money, which is important for a not-for-profit organization and a small department like ours” commented Shelley Drake, Schools Resources Development Officer at the Salvation Army.
“We recognise the constraints that charities face with regards to budgets and the Non-Profit programme addresses this issue in particular by offering QuarkXPress 8 at a significantly reduced price. Charities can now purchase QuarkXPress 8 for only £149/€189 (excl. VAT) giving them the same page-layout and design software used by creative professionals at an affordable price”, commented Peter Schaebbicke, Quark European Channel and Education Programmes Director.
