JoDrop 4.2 Review
You can drag images directly onto a Quark layout, and it will create a picture box according to the dimensions of the image, or you can drag an image to an existing picture box, in which case the box keeps its size. You can also drop a folder full of high res images on a Quark document, and it will replace all the low res images with the same name throughout the document.
JoDrop adds an extra tab to the Modify palette, which lets you name picture boxes. As well as dragging images, JoDrop can also warn if any images are in RGB or LAB, or if there are JPEGs or EPS files with embedded profiles. It will also report all images that have been placed in a document.
It's difficult to fault JoDrop - it does a very useful job, at a price that doesn't break the bank. Certainly worth considering for current users of QuarkXPress.
