Drawing Pad for iPad full review

When you consider that a lot of Apple’s own applications on the iPad reflect real-world objects (the Contacts app looks like an address book, for instance), then Darren Murtha Design is perfectly suited to this device. Open it up and you’ll find a drawer filled with tools such as a brush, pencil, wax pen, marker pen, stamp, stickers, and so on.

Tap on one of them to bring up more options, like a choice of colours (scroll to the left to reveal more) or thickness. Drawing Pad is as close to using the real thing as you can get – minus the mess, broken pencils or shortage of a particular colour – and it can be a lot of fun to work with.

To export your work, tap on the drawer’s USB dongle. You can email your file, save it to the program’s gallery, your iPad’s photo gallery, or even post it on Twitter or Facebook.
