Kids Company MouthOff™ for iPhone full review
Good causes don't always produce great results when charitable endeavours are offered at a price. How many poor cover versions and manufactured pop has been produced all in the name of charity, while furthering the careers of all those involved? Thankfully, the latest iPhone app from creative studio ustwo puts the good in good causes.
A variation of the MouthOff app, which has so far produced several paid and free iPhone downloads, Kids Company MouthOff™ celebrates the work of the London based charity. Founded by the ever colourful Camila Batmanghelidjh, Kids Company provides practical, emotional and educational support to vulnerable inner-city children, reaching around 14,000 children across London. The charity promises to provide a safe, caring, family environment where support is tailored to the needs of each, sometimes troubled, individual.
Kids Company MouthOff takes the familiar MouthOff formula but adds the artistic talents of a team of 7-10 year-old London school children. The results are more than childish splash and scribble, producing wonderful, colourful results. Select a mouth and simply hold your iPhone up and talk, shout, laugh, scream or sing to get your new lips moving. The app is sound reactive, so the animations should move in real-time with your voice, adding to the fun.
It's worth adding that in 2007 Kids Company was awarded the Liberty and JUSTICE Human Rights Award. In 2010, the charity was selected as a 'Child Poverty Champion' by the End Child Poverty project for their success in enabling children to achieve their full potential. If your spirit for giving extends further than an iPhone app, Kids Company offers a fine line of artistic mugs, plates, t-shirts and hats via their online store.
