MediaTablet 14000u full review
The MediaTablet 14000u is a good-sized graphics tablet that offers value for money. The 14000u has plenty of room to get creative with a 30.5 x 18.5cm active area. Build is sound but with a design that looks dated, and lacks the style and refinements of Wacom tablets.
The decent size means space for five Hot Keys, two Rolling Pads and 34 programmable Macro Keys, all aimed at making work more efficient and speedy. If this seems like overkill, it is; it’s difficult to see why you’d need so many software-specific shortcuts. The Hot Keys are the most useful of the bells and whistles, with the ability to both zoom and scroll. The tablet also supports both traditional 4:3 and widescreen 16:9 displays.
The supplied pen requires one AAA battery, which adds bulk and weight. It may be not be an issue for some, but we found it disappointing, as many alternative pens are battery free. That said, the pen has 1,024 pressure levels, and performed well enough, producing fluid and responsive results.
What it lacks in looks the 14000u makes up for in size and price
