BackBeat 903+ full review
Plantronics updated the BackBeat headphones a few months ago, using a more rugged and sweat-resistant rubber that’s specifically designed for use when exercising.
The headphones are also extremely light, weighing a mere 34g, and come with a handy little carrying pouch that you can quickly slip into your pocket or a backpack. It can be a bit fiddly hooking the rubbery earpieces over your ears at first, but once they’re in place they fit quite comfortably and the earpieces can be adjusted to ensure that you get a good fit.
The headphones use Bluetooth wireless technology, so there are no cables to get snagged when you’re working out. The sound quality is very good – clear and detailed, and capable of picking out layers of harmonies. Our only minor complaint is that a little more raw power might be good for those occasions when you really need a bit of extra motivation. There’s also a bass boost option and a built-in microphone that allows you to take calls on your iPhone.
The BackBeat earpieces are very light and flexible
