Flash Voyager GT review
Corsair specialises in making rugged memory sticks that are designed to withstand a fair amount of rough treatment. Its Flash Voyager VT range is available in sizes from 16GB right up to 128GB – which costs a thumping £320. However, we opted for the middle-of-the-range 64GB model, which strikes a good balance between price and capacity at around £130 (about £2 per gigabyte).
The Voyager GT is completely encased in a thick rubber jacket that makes it very durable and should protect it from damage if you’re working in outdoor locations or if its going to get tossed about in a backpack. The downside of this, though, is that it’s a bit bulky.
The drive also performs very well, backing up a 10GB batch of test files in just 12 minutes, compared to around 20 minutes for most of its rivals.
That combination of toughness and high performance makes it a good choice for anyone who wants a compact and reliable storage device for backing up their important data.
