Scosche IDR600 review
Scosche’s IDR600 headphones are neat little numbers, named for their Increased Dynamic Range, and promising ‘unparalleled’ noise isolation. They certainly deliver on the latter, although at times, with the flanged silicon earbuds pressed into your auditory canal, it can feel as though your head is isolated from your body.
Coming with a range of fittings so you can find the ones that perfectly block out the world, they’re pretty comfortable, and light enough to use in the gym. The 11mm IDR drivers do deliver sharp sound quality, especially on the highs and mids, but we found that the bass wasn’t as full as some in-ear models.
The sliding magnetic clips on the cables help keep them untangled - another plus for exercise freaks -while the gold-plated audio jack is long enough to fit through a bulky iPod case and still sit securely in the device.
The sound of the IDR600 is very good - although bass-heads may demand a bit more from the bottom end. That aside, Scosche have delivered a headphone set that's well worth investigating.
