Unlike the AViiQ stand, Luxa2’s M1-Pro is heavy at 1.9kg, and it can’t be folded – so carrying it around with you could be a struggle, to say the least.
The stand is made from aluminium, and has heat-pipe ventilation, which provides a direct heat conduction path between the laptop and the stand to prevent your laptop from overheating. This works to an extent, reducing the laptop’s temperature by a few degrees, but whether this is due to the heat pipes or because the stand is made from a cool metal is unclear.
In terms of ergonomics, the M1-Pro does a pretty good job. We found the angle easy to type on and the screen was raised to an ideal level, reducing the need to arch our backs or crane our necks.
The M1-Pro shines thanks to its three Swarovski crystals
The silvery M1-Pro is designed with the style-conscious in mind, complete with three Swarovski crystals embedded in its front. It may not be necessary, but it’s a nice touch nonetheless. This could be a good choice if you need a sturdy stand with added sparkle.
