Scosche kickBACK t3 full review
The kickBACK iPod touch case from Scosche combines a stylish polycarbonate and rubber design with built-in stand for hands free viewing. For those who buy or rent films and TV shows from iTunes, convert their own or want to watch shows online it's a small godsend. No more holding your iPod in one hand or propping it up on your desk or, if you're lying in bed, on your chest.
The kickBACK t3 works best on a fairly sturdy straight surface such as a desktop or bedside table, although we also managed good viewing on several recent journeys where the conditions were less than ideal. The device, however, combined with the iPod's small screen, still requires some adjustment to optimise viewing as the actual kickBACK viewing angle is more or less fixed. Once clipped into place, we found iPod controls easy to access and the case pretty durable despite initially looking a little frail and fragile. To add to the package, the kickBACK comes with a screen protector and a microfiber cleaning cloth.
While the kickBACK t3 is slightly bulkier than some slimline cases we've seen, the retractable kickstand clicks neatly back into the body of the case when not in use. We also found that when charging your iPod, using a speaker dock or large headphones, some manipulating is needed to gently secure a good connection. Thankfully, it takes little effort to remove the case if needs be, which is worth doing as over time the open back design of the kickstand does attract some dirt. The Scosche kickBACK range is also available for the iPhone and iPod nano in a choice of stylish colours.
