Griffin FlexGrip review

Griffin has given its FlexGrip iPod case a revamp for the new breed of iPod touch, with a smart new design.

The new FlexGrip is a single colour, with raised surfaces along the back, highlighted by wavy stripes. The new design is not as grippy on a car dashboard as the previous FlexGrip’s nubs, but in your hand, the new design works fine.

The other major design difference is that the old FlexGrip covered the top part of the iPod touch face, stopping before the screen, and leaving a hole for the antenna. The top of the new FlexGrip covers about half of the top area of the iPod touch face, stopping before the antenna area. The included clear screen protector covers the whole front of the iPod touch, providing protection for the area no longer covered by the silicone case.

It’s a good case that offers good protection, and holds up well in use.

OUR VERDICT

The Griffin FlexGrip is a colourful case for the iPod touch 2G, and it looks pretty cool. It's a shame the case isn't more comprehensive in its coverage of the iPod, but otherwise it does its job well.
