Marware Accent case for iPhone, iPod touch review
The Marware Accent is a chic, flip-top style case compatible with the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch. Available in a range of attractive colours, the style, with a subtle decorative motif, is bling without being over the top and reasonably priced. The glossy patent leather outside is matched by a soft tactile inside, which should protect your iPhone or iPod from any minor bumps and scrapes. A modest use of Velcro helps keeps everything in place on your travels.
Despite the fashionable looks, the Marware Accent feels surprisingly solid, helped by elasticised sides which ensure a tight reliable fit, while a lengthy front flap encloses and protects the iPhone or iPod touch when closed. Like many flip-top style cases, we found accessing the corners of Apple's touchscreen on the iPhone and iPod touch a little tricky and actually removed it during a bout of gaming, the protective ridge causing a small barrier between you and the action. You also need to press firmly to access the iPhone or iPod touch controls, and the case may prove a little stiff for some. The Marware Accent case comes with a clear screen protector and cleaning cloth and is available from retailers including Play.com.
The Marware Accent case for iPhone or iPod touch is a solid and stylish way to protect your investment. The design does limit full screen access occasionally but you can at least easily slip off the case when needs must or during extended use.
