The Silicon Sleeve from Belkin is one the least innovative of the cases we've looked at recently. Despite the unusual colours (pink/grey, grey/yellow, black/red) there is little to separate this from other silicon sleeves on the market. Like most silicon cases it’s not possible to use it with a dock.
A screen protector is included and, as you’d expect, the case offers easy access to the main port and buttons. While the on/off and volume controls are covered by silicon buttons, the ring/silent switch, camera lens and headphone port are cut out.
While this case is of reasonable quality and offers decent all-round protection for your new iPhone 3G, we can’t help feeling it’s a little over-priced. That, along with the curious colour schemes, means that the Silicon Skin is likely to appeal to users who share Belkin’s definition of fashion and are happy to pay over the odds for it.
